How To Make Mrs. Sigg’s Snickerdoodles

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

In a small bowl, mix together 2 tbsp of sugar and 1 tbsp of cinnamon for the coating.

Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and then roll each ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Place the coated balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly golden around the edges.

Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
