How To Make Grandma Ruth’s Easy Snickerdoodle Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.

In a small bowl, mix together the 2 tbsp of granulated sugar and cinnamon.

Shape the cookie dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.

Roll each dough ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated all around.

Place the coated dough balls onto a baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
