How To Make Fortune Cookies
Make a fresh batch of everyone’s favorite dessert! With these cookie recipes, you can bake all kinds of different sweet treats. Make a classic snack with chocolate chip cookies. Or, switch it up by adding nuts, raisins, and other ingredients to keep things interesting.

Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Fortunes (written on small pieces of paper)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites until frothy.

Gradually add in the flour, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Spoon about 1 tablespoon of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it into a thin, even circle.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and quickly place a fortune in the center of each cookie.

Fold the cookie in half and, using the edge of a glass or the rim of a mug, gently press the cookie in the middle to create the classic fortune cookie shape.

Allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
