How To Make Dad’s Cookies

  • 1 cup of butter, softened
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 2 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 cups of chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.

  6. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

  7. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of cookie dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

  10. Serve and enjoy!
