- 1 ham bone
- 1 cup dried lima beans
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt and pepper, to taste

In a large pot, place the ham bone, dried lima beans, diced onion, carrots, celery, and minced garlic.
