How To Make Bon Bon Cookies
Try these perfectly portioned little treats and have a blast while making them! It's easy to get creative with this simple recipe and yet you're assured that what comes out of the oven are still scrumptious dessert treats!
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter, soft
- ¾ cup powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 1 ½ cup flour, sifted
- â…› tsp salt
- food coloring , if desired
Filling options:
- Red Maraschino cherries, chocolate chips, nuts.
- Green Maraschino cherries, chocolate chips, nuts.
Frosting options:
- vanilla frosting, softened, tinted half red and half green
- cocoa powder
Instructions
- Soften butter to room temperature.
- Mix the next 5 ingredients with the butter.
- Take about 1 inch of dough, roll a piece of fruit or nut in the center, and mold into a ball.

Bake at 350 degrees F at 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet for 12 to 15 minutes.
- When cooled, roll cookies in the softened frosting or cocoa powder.
