How To Make Anzac Biscuits

Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons boiling water
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, coconut, and brown sugar.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter and golden syrup together over medium heat, stirring until smooth.

In a separate small bowl, dissolve the baking soda in boiling water, then add it to the melted butter mixture.

Pour the melted butter mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well until combined.

Roll tablespoonfuls of the dough into balls and place them onto the prepared baking tray, leaving some space between each biscuit.

Gently flatten each ball with the back of a fork.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Allow the biscuits to cool on the baking tray before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
