How To Make Angry Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cayenne pepper, and paprika.

  3. Add the cold butter to the flour mixture and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut it in until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.

  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times until it comes together.

  6. Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits.

  7. Place the biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
