- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- 1/8 tsp cream of tartar
- Red food coloring (optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 200°F (95°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites on medium-low speed until foamy.

Add cream of tartar and continue to beat until soft peaks form.

Gradually add the sugar, a tablespoon at a time, while beating on high speed until stiff, glossy peaks form.

Gently fold in the peppermint extract and a few drops of red food coloring, if desired.

Transfer the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a large round tip.

Pipe small dollops onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
