How To Make Anise Flavored Meringues
Deliciously light and airy meringues with a subtle hint of anise flavor.

Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp anise extract
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Instructions

Preheat oven to 225°F.

In a large bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy.

Gradually add in sugar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.

Gently fold in anise extract.

Using a piping bag or spoon, drop dollops of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 1 hour or until the meringues are dry, crisp and light.

Allow to cool before serving.
