  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°F (95°C).

  2. In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites until frothy.

  3. Gradually add the sugar, cream of tartar, and vanilla extract while continuing to beat the mixture until it forms stiff peaks.

  4. Using a piping bag or spoon, create mounds of the meringue mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 90 minutes or until the meringues are dry and crispy.

  6. Turn off the oven and leave the meringues inside for another 30 minutes to cool and further dry out.

  7. Serve the cloud meringues as a light and airy treat.
