Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of corn syrup
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, butter, heavy cream, corn syrup, and salt.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 250°F (120°C) on a candy thermometer.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 inch baking dish and let it cool completely.

  5. Once cooled, cut into small squares or rectangles.

  6. Wrap each toffee in wax paper or plastic wrap for storage.
