How To Make Chocolate Poke Cake Recipe
A decadent chocolate cake with pockets of rich chocolatey goodness.

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 cup cold milk
- Whipped cream, for serving
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add in milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.

Stir in boiling water, mixing until batter is smooth.

Pour batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick or cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean.

Allow cake to cool for 10 minutes.

Using the end of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake, being careful not to go all the way through.

In a small mixing bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk until thickened.

Pour pudding mixture over the cake, using a spatula to spread it evenly.

Chill cake for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Top with whipped cream before serving.
