How To Make Strawberry Poke Cake
A light, fluffy cake infused with sweet strawberry flavor, topped with whipped cream and fresh berries.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 box white cake mix
- 1/2 cup strawberries, pureed
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup strawberry syrup
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup fresh sliced strawberries
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
-
In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, strawberry puree, water, oil, and egg whites until well combined. Pour into prepared dish and bake for 30 minutes.
-
Using a wooden skewer, poke holes all over the cake.
-
In a small bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk and strawberry syrup. Pour evenly over the cake, allowing it to soak into the holes.
-
In a medium bowl, beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread over the top of the cake, and sprinkle with fresh sliced strawberries.
-
Chill for at least one hour before serving.
