Ingredients

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup of cold milk
  • 1 box of instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup of hot water
  • 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the cake mix box.

  2. Prepare the cake mix as directed on the box and bake in a 9×13 inch baking dish.

  3. Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

  4. Use the end of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the top of the cake.

  5. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cold milk and instant vanilla pudding mix until it thickens.

  6. Pour the pudding mixture over the cake, making sure it fills all the holes.

  7. In a small saucepan, heat the hot water and chocolate chips over low heat until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

  8. Pour the chocolate mixture over the pudding layer, spreading it evenly.

  9. Place the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set.

  10. Serve chilled and enjoy!
