Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.

  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. Gradually add the flour, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour. Mix until just combined.

  6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured loaf pan.

  7. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Allow the pound cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
