Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Green food coloring
  • Red icing decorations
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.

  5. Add a few drops of green food coloring to the batter and mix until well combined.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan, spreading it evenly.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

  9. Once the cake has cooled, place it on a serving plate. Dust it with powdered sugar to resemble snow.

  10. Decorate the top of the cake with red icing decorations to form a wreath design.

  11. Slice and serve the Christmas wreath cake.
