How To Make Amaretto Cake

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup amaretto liqueur
- ½ cup milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the amaretto liqueur.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve the amaretto cake as is or dust with powdered sugar for decoration.
