Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup black cherries, pitted and halved
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a square baking pan.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until well combined.

  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, whisking after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and bourbon.

  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  5. Fold in the black cherries and bacon.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  8. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.

  9. Serve and enjoy!
