- 2 cups masa harina (corn flour)
- 1 ½ cups warm water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup refried beans
- 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- ½ cup crumbled queso fresco
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup chopped cilantro
- 1 avocado, sliced
- Lime wedges, for serving

In a large mixing bowl, combine masa harina, water, and salt. Mix until dough forms.

Divide the dough into palm-sized balls and flatten them into thick discs.

Cook the sopes on a preheated griddle or non-stick pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they are cooked through and slightly crispy.

Once cooked, remove the sopes from the griddle and let them cool slightly.
