How To Make Okinawa Shoyu Pork Recipe

Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs pork belly, sliced into thin strips
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions

In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.

Place the sliced pork belly in a ziplock bag and pour in the marinade mixture. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove the pork belly from the marinade and cook in the skillet until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.

Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook for an additional 5 minutes to reduce the sauce slightly.

Serve the Okinawa Shoyu Pork over steamed rice and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
