How To Make Classic Lasagne recipe

Ingredients
- 9 lasagne sheets
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the lasagne sheets according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

In a rectangular baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom.

Place 3 lasagne sheets on top of the sauce, covering the bottom of the dish.

Spread a layer of ricotta cheese over the lasagne sheets, followed by a layer of meat sauce and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.

Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of meat sauce and a generous topping of mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

Let the lasagne cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
