How To Make Indonesian Bakso Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • Cooked rice noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, ground coriander, cornstarch, and egg. Mix well.

  2. Use your hands to form small meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter).

  3. In a soup pot, heat beef broth over medium-high heat. Add fish sauce, soy sauce, and tomato paste. Stir well.

  4. Add meatballs to the broth and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for about 1 hour, until meatballs are cooked through and tender.

  5. Serve the soup in bowls, with cooked rice noodles and chopped green onions.
