  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup of shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Roll out the pie crust and press it into a 9-inch pie dish.

  3. Sprinkle the cooked bacon and shredded Gruyere cheese evenly over the crust.

  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.

  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese in the pie crust.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the quiche is set and golden brown on top.

  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
