How To Make Sweet French Toast

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 1/4 tsp of cinnamon
  • Butter, for cooking
  • Maple syrup, for serving


  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, sugar, and cinnamon.

  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are coated.

  3. In a large skillet, melt a pat of butter over medium heat.

  4. Place the coated bread slices into the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

  5. Repeat with the remaining bread slices, adding more butter to the skillet as needed.

  6. Serve the French toast hot with a drizzle of maple syrup.
