How To Make Pollo Loco Churros Recipe
Irresistibly sweet and crispy churros served with a spiced chocolate dip.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 2 tbsp of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of cinnamon sugar
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 tsp of ground cinnamon
Instructions

In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, salt, and sugar and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

Remove from heat and add flour, stirring until well combined and the mixture forms a ball.

Add eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

Heat oil for frying in a large heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat.

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe the dough into the hot oil in 4 inch lengths.

Fry until golden brown, turning occasionally. Drain on paper towels, and then roll in cinnamon sugar.

In a small saucepan, melt chocolate chips with heavy cream over low heat. Stir until smooth and then stir in cinnamon.

Serve churros with spiced chocolate dip.
