How To Make Pedro Mexican Restaurante Tamales Recipe
A delicious and authentic Mexican recipe that is wrapped in corn husks.

Ingredients
- 2 cups of masa harina
- 2 cups of warm water
- 1/2 cup of lard
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 cup of shredded pork or chicken
- 1 cup of red or green salsa (your choice)
- 12-16 corn husks, soaked in water
Instructions

In a large bowl, mix the masa harina, water, lard, baking powder, and salt until it forms a dough.

Drain the corn husks and pat them dry. Spread about 1/4 cup of the masa mixture on each husk, leaving enough space on the sides to fold.

Add about 1 tbsp of shredded meat and 1 tbsp of salsa on top of the masa mixture.

Fold the corn husk over the filling and tuck the sides in tightly.

Place the tamales in a steamer basket and steam for 1-2 hours until the dough is cooked.

Serve hot with additional salsa and toppings such as sour cream and chopped cilantro.
