How To Make Mrs. Clinton’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

Delicious and chewy cookies filled with chunks of gooey chocolate.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  7. Using a cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.

  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
