How To Make Mounds Coconut Macaroons Recipe

Deliciously sweet and chewy coconut macaroons dipped in dark chocolate and topped with sliced almonds.

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg whites, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until frothy.

  3. Add in the shredded coconut and mix until well combined.

  4. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, about 1 inch apart.

  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

  6. Let macaroons cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

  7. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave or on a double boiler.

  8. Dip the bottom of each macaroon into the melted chocolate and place back on the wire rack.

  9. Sprinkle sliced almonds over the chocolate and let it set for a few minutes.
