How To Make Homemade Mounds Bars

Delightfully sweet and coconutty candy bar with a homemade touch

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.

  2. Line a 9×9 inch baking dish with parchment paper and spread coconut mixture evenly in the dish. Press down firmly.

  3. Place the dish in the refrigerator for 2 hours to set.

  4. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.

  5. Remove the coconut mixture from the refrigerator and cut into small bars.

  6. Using a fork, dip the bars into melted chocolate and place them on waxed paper until hardened.

  7. Once the chocolate has hardened, serve and enjoy!
