Ingredients
- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces shredded gruyere cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cook macaroni according to package instructions.

In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Gradually whisk in milk and bring to a simmer, whisking constantly until thickened.

Add cheddar cheese, gruyere cheese, salt, and black pepper. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.

Drain macaroni and add to the cheese sauce. Stir to combine.

Pour mixture into a 9×9 inch baking dish.

In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese. Sprinkle breadcrumb mixture over the mac and cheese.
