How To Make Evelyn’s Baked Beans Recipe
Sweet and savory baked beans cooked with bacon in a homemade sauce.

Ingredients
- 4 slices of bacon
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 can (28 oz) of navy beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove bacon from skillet and crumble it into small pieces.

In the same skillet, sauté onion until caramelized.

Add molasses, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Mix well.

Stir in navy beans, crumbled bacon, and water.

Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake for 1 hour 30 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and the beans are tender.
