Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of whole milk
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup of cornstarch
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Pre-bake pie crust for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

  3. Layer sliced bananas in the bottom of the pre-baked pie crust.

  4. In a saucepan, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, cornstarch, and egg yolks.

  5. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon, approximately 10-12 minutes.

  6. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

  7. Pour the custard over the bananas in the pie crust.

  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until set.

  9. Serve chilled with whipped cream on top.
