How To Make Emeril Lagasse Banana Cream Pie Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 3 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of whole milk
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup of cornstarch
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Whipped cream, for topping
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Pre-bake pie crust for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

Layer sliced bananas in the bottom of the pre-baked pie crust.

In a saucepan, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, cornstarch, and egg yolks.

Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon, approximately 10-12 minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

Pour the custard over the bananas in the pie crust.

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until set.

Serve chilled with whipped cream on top.
