How To Make Eldon’s Fried Catfish Recipe

Ingredients
- 4 catfish fillets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions

Rinse and pat dry the catfish fillets.

In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

Pour the buttermilk into another shallow bowl.

Dip each fish fillet in the flour mixture, then in the buttermilk, and then back into the flour mixture, pressing to coat well.

Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer until hot.

Fry the catfish fillets for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Drain on paper towels and serve hot with tartar sauce and lemon wedges.
