How To Make Honey-Garlic Slow Cooker Chicken Thighs
Unlike beef and pork, it’s quite uncommon to encounter tough cooked chicken. That’s why you’d often find that this poultry meat is often cooked hot and fast. However, that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t work for low and slow cooking, either. Ingredients
- 8 chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- Optional toppings: sesame seeds, green onions
Instructions

In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker and pour the honey-garlic mixture over the chicken.

Cook on low heat for 4 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Stir the mixture into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.

Serve the chicken thighs with the sauce spooned over the top. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions, if desired.
