Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Thighs Recipe

How To Make Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

  • 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika. Mix well.

  3. Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker and pour the BBQ sauce mixture over them.

  4. Cover and cook on low heat for 4 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

  5. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and place on a baking sheet.

  6. Set the oven to broil and brush the chicken thighs with some of the leftover BBQ sauce.

  7. Broil the chicken for about 5 minutes or until the skin is crispy.

  8. Serve the slow cooker BBQ chicken thighs hot with the remaining BBQ sauce on the side.
