Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  4. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the cheese has melted.

  6. Return the chicken back to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes, turning the chicken to coat it with the creamy sauce.

  7. Serve the chicken with the basil cream sauce drizzled on top.
