How To Make Dutch Oven Tomato Basil Chicken Recipe

A flavorful and healthy chicken dish cooked in a Dutch Oven with fresh tomatoes and basil.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in chicken thighs
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 cups of chopped fresh tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh basil
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  2. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.

  3. Heat the olive oil in a Dutch Oven over medium heat.

  4. Add the chicken thighs to the Dutch Oven and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until browned.

  5. Add the minced garlic to the Dutch Oven and sauté for 1-2 minutes.

  6. Add the chopped tomatoes and basil to the Dutch Oven and stir to combine.

  7. Cover the Dutch Oven and transfer it to the preheated oven.

  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has thickened.

  9. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
