How To Make Cast Iron Skillet BBQ Chicken Recipe

This dish is a classic BBQ chicken cooked in a cast iron skillet with a tangy and sweet sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup of ketchup
  • 2 tbsp of honey
  • 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, honey, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

  3. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.

  4. Season the chicken with salt and pepper and place it in the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes per side or until browned.

  5. Pour the BBQ sauce over the chicken and transfer the skillet to the oven.

  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

  7. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
