How To Make Classic Pumpkin Pie with Pecan & Maple Cream

Ingredients
- 1 9-inch pie crust
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- for the maple cream:
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.

In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and salt. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and add them to the pumpkin mixture. Stir in the heavy cream and mix until smooth.

Pour the pumpkin filling into the prepared pie crust. Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.

Reduce the heat to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for an additional 40 minutes, or until the center of the pie is set.

While the pie is baking, prepare the maple cream by whisking together the heavy cream and maple syrup until soft peaks form. Set aside.

Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool completely. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Before serving, spread the pecans evenly over the top of the pie. Serve each slice with a dollop of maple cream.
