Breakfast bowls are really convenient because all you have to do is literally toss together the ingredients in a bowl, and you’ve got yourself a hearty breakfast. You might have already seen the trendy bowls of quinoa seeds with fruits and nuts around social media. But did you know that you can have savory renditions of this morning meal, too? Ingredients

  • 6 slices of brioche bread
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

  3. In a greased baking dish, layer the brioche bread slices and sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

  4. Crumble the cooked bacon and sprinkle it evenly over the cheese.

  5. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper. Pour this mixture over the bacon and bread in the baking dish.

  6. Top with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese and chopped green onions.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.

  8. Allow the breakfast bake to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm.
