Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 15 minutes
Total: 25 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 slices of brioche bread
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the bacon on a baking sheet and cook for 12-15 minutes, or until crispy. Set aside.

  2. Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to a boil and carefully add the eggs. Cook for 6-7 minutes for soft-boiled eggs. Once done, place the eggs in a bowl of cold water to stop the cooking process. Peel and set aside.

  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Toast the brioche slices in the skillet until golden brown on both sides.

  4. Cut the brioche slices into long, thin strips, about 1 inch wide.

  5. Serve the brioche soldiers with the soft-boiled eggs, crispy bacon, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper for dipping.
