Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 12 minutes
Total: 27 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingertips to cut the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. In a separate bowl, stir together the sour cream and honey. Add this mixture to the flour mixture and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead gently a few times until it comes together.

  6. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thickness. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.

  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
