Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
-
Add the cold butter to the bowl and use a pastry cutter or your hands to cut it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
-
Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. The dough will be slightly sticky.
-
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together.
-
Roll the dough to about 1/2-inch (1.3 cm) thickness. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out rounds and place them onto the prepared baking sheet.
-
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
-
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
