How To Make Iced Buns with Cream & Jam

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 4 tbsp strawberry jam
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tbsp milk
Instructions

In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk and eggs. Pour into the dry ingredients.

Add softened butter and knead until a soft dough forms.

Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each into a bun. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely.

Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Cut the buns in half horizontally and fill with whipped cream and strawberry jam.

In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with milk to make a smooth icing. Drizzle over the buns.
