Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup flaxseeds
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, oats, flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, yeast, and salt.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix the warm water, honey, and olive oil. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  5. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place the loaf in a greased loaf pan and cover with a damp cloth. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.

  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  7. Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped on the bottom.

  8. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool completely before slicing.
