Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 bottle (12 oz) beer
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

  3. Slowly pour in the beer, stirring until just combined.

  4. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and pour melted butter over the top.

  5. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  6. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
