Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Toppings: lettuce, tomato, sour cream, salsa, etc.

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent.

  2. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld together.

  3. Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or in the microwave for a few seconds.

  4. Spoon a portion of the beef mixture onto each tortilla, leaving room to fold. Top with shredded cheese and any desired toppings.

  5. Fold the sides of the tortillas over the filling, then roll tightly to form a burrito.

  6. Heat a clean skillet over medium heat and place the burritos seam-side down. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the tortilla is crispy and the cheese is melted.

  7. Serve the beef burritos hot, with additional toppings as desired.
