Ingredients

  • 1 cup chickpea flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together chickpea flour, baking powder, cumin, paprika, and salt.

  2. Gradually stir in water until a thick batter forms.

  3. Mix in chopped parsley and cilantro.

  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.

  5. Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of batter into the hot oil.

  6. Fry until golden brown, turning once.

  7. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
