How To Make Millet and Spinach Fritters

These crispy fritters are made with millet and fresh spinach and make for a perfect snack.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked millet
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup chickpea flour
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked millet, chopped spinach, chickpea flour, onion, garlic, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, and pepper.

  2. Mix well until the ingredients are fully combined and the mixture is a nice and sticky texture.

  3. Heat some oil in a frying pan on medium heat.

  4. Using your hands, form small patties from the mixture and place them in the hot oil.

  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  6. Once done, drain the fritters on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

  7. Serve hot with your favourite dipping sauce.
